The topic of family asylum is becoming increasingly important in practice. Questions in this regard do not inly arise in asylum procedure counselling, but especially in the counselling centres that support family reunification. There is no general answer to the question of whether it is better to apply for family asylum or to limit oneself to a residence permit for family reunion. This ust rather be decided individually in each case and depends on carious factors. The Paritätischer Gesamtverband has presented a working aid which is inteded to help to know all the facotrs essential for this important decision and to make the right decision in dividual cases.
