Joblinge goes MINT

"Joblinge goes Mint" is a vocational orientation programme for low-skilled young people with multiple placement obstacles.
In specially designed workshops, young people can get to know different MINTworlds, discover their own skills and are thus sensitised to MINT professions as possible training occupations. For companies participating in the programme, the opportunity arises to get in contact with the target group in an informal way, to reduce prejudices and to win over suitable specialists for the long term. The "Joblinge goes MINT" training support service looks after young people and companies after successful placement to ensure the success of the training. Another goal is to establish a pool of MINT training tutors who can specifically address the needs of MINT trainees and mediate between companies and young people.
With BASF`s support, the porgram, which has already been tested at other sites, can now be cultivated in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
Joblinge is a non profit organisation for young people who are looking for a connection to the world of work. It combines qualification in practise with personal, individual support and the concrete opportunity to acquire a training position or a job by your own efforts. In order to make this possible, Joblinge combines the commitment and expertise of a wide range of actors and institutions from business, government and society. The common goal is to get young people with difficult starting conditions into training or work on a permanent basis.
